asylum apply for spouse visa???

asylum apply for spouse visa???

My friend he is an asylum status in the UK, his girlfriend is british. They would like to get married, anyone know is that possible for him to get spouse visa after marriage?

what do you mean he is on asylum status, do you mean has he applied for asylum or that it has already been granted. if it has been granted then i think he might not need to apply for spouse visa as he would have already been granted ILR, if not i am not sure how it will affect his application

Thanks for your reply, he is already granted as asylum status. But he dont have any passport. Is that possible that he can get one after married?

We understand his asylum case has been considered and he has been granted some sort of leave - what category is this leave excactly i.e. what does the Home Office letter state he has been granted.
