Spouse visa ... Accommodation requirement, please help

Post by Mrere » Tue Aug 16, 2016 6:07 pm

Hi All,

I am about to apply for my wife's spouse visa.
Currently, I have just moved into one bedroom flat apartment yesterday, I will be changing my driving license address to the new address along with my bank and work to the new address so my bank statement and my payslips will be under the new address. Also the water bill will be under my name.

Previously, my payslips holding my old address (lived there for 7 moths) and my bank statement was under my older address( I haven't changed it to my last address as I receive it online as soft copy statement and there is no hard copies sent through the post) would this cause any issues??
Also, once I change everything to my new address (one bedroom flat) and supply the tenancy agreement can I apply for the spouse visa within a month from moving into my new flat? Or do I have to wait for 3 months?

Many thanks guys in advance.

Best regards.

You can apply within a month. HO is obviously aware that people move and change addresses.

Thank you very much CR001, you are a lifesaver.

Having 2 different addresses previously at the same time, one on my payslips and my older address on my bank statement(I didn't bother to change it due to receiving online bank statement and all bank matters dealt over the phone or in branch) would this cause any reason for refusal? Do I explaine this matter to the case worker on the application!

Thanks a lot.
