Tier 2 Dependent. Biometric replacement?

Hi all

I'm on a Tier 2 dependent visa (valid for a year) and had lost my brp shortly after getting it. Lost it in May, applied on 1 August, did biometrics on 19 August. I have a flight coming up in October and I am starting to get really nervous, my original docs (passport etc) have not been returned yet...Anyone face a similar case? How long does it commonly take to get replacment and original sent docs etc? also will it help to contact someone at home office re: this matter?

You should have applied as soon as you lost it. They can take a 2-4 months roughly to be processed. Sometimes it can be a few weeks.

My trip will be nearly 1 month. https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/replace Would you recommend I contact them about my passport at least?

You can probably request your passport back, but you will still need the BRP to re-enter the UK.
