Hi, my question is regarding the number of unpaid leaves during some financial year.
I am applying for an ILR on March-2017, 5 years’ time from this date backwards, I don’t have any exceptional breaks, the continuous period is maintained.
This year I had to take some leaves for my father’s cancer treatment and these are as:
14-April-2016 to 25-April-2016, 10 calendar days outside UK, 7 days paid leave by my employer.
I am planning to take leave from 27th Oct 2016 to 21st Nov 2016, in total 24 calendar days outside UK.
My employer provides only 18 days paid leaves in any financial year, so I will have to take some unpaid leaves.
So for these 24 days leave, I will have combination as 11 paid leaves and 6 unpaid leaves.
I work for a consultancy, in December, due to client-site shut down, company asks for forceful leaves to be taken.
So I will have to apply for leave as 12-Dec-2016 to 02-Jan-2017, as I don’t have any balance of earned leave (paid leave), this will all be unpaid leave.
This will add additional 13 unpaid days leave. But during this period, I am not going outside UK.
Will this combination of leaves & unpaid leaves, break my continuous period of 5 years?
Any quick advise in this regard is really much appreciated, thanks very much.
