English language requirements for ILR - Degree From India

Hi,

I am posting this query on behalf of my friend. He is not able to register on this forum.

He is applying for ILR based on Tier 1 General route and for this he need to prove English Language Requirement. He has a Master of science (Engineering) awarded by Coventry University, UK and it is was taught and researched in English but the location of study is Bangalore, India.

He would like to know if the Degree Certificate alone is sufficient to prove the English Requirements / do he need to get a NARIC statement for Proof of English Language ?

Because on his degree certificate it says that the location of study is Bangalore, India he is not confident that the degree certificate will be enough to prove the English language requirement.

Please advice.
