Salam all,

I applied for my husbands visa below timeline; I paid for the priority visa however the site crashed, payment was taken out of the account, I received no reciept and no email confirmation. I submitted my bank statement showing that the 450 priority fee was paid! When I submitted my supporting documents!

Has anyone had a similar experience? Am concerned that the application won't be treated as a priority?

Online application submitted 27th September
Biometrics 29th September
Supporting documents sent 07th October
Received originals back 15th October

If it's showing on your statement then you should be fine, usually applicants pay at visa application centres. You can mention it on your cover letter just to make it 200% clear

Thanks for replies I have emailed them and received a generic reply saying it's yet to be allocated, they did not address the question!

Yes!did a status check today and thats the email i got

-With regards to your query, note each application is assessed individually
and processing times may vary, hence applicants are requested to be patient
whilst processing is completed. Your visa application centre or the entry
clearance officer (ECO) will contact you once a decision has been made or,
if necessary, during the consideration of your application.

Note that the priority service allows the application to be prioritised but
doesn't guarantee an earlier decision due to different range of factors.

No mention of refunding it, what is more concerning they don't even understand English in there reply they give me details on how to go about a priority visa absolute joke! One month down and no progress!

This is actually so stressful. I spoke to my lawyer yesterday. He said the same thing that sometimes these priority apps are not treated as priority. They dont even write back to your emails. I guesss it's gonna take around 8-12 weeks for this process. Ugh! What's more frustrating is that we have paid an approx of £500.

Umm, my husband got his biometrics done in Islamabad. There he paid the extra priority fees and he was given a receipt and was assured that it's sent through priority service plus he'll get thr decision very sooon.

So no, didnt send it with my supprting documents. Did you send yours?
