British-born children with EU passport: EEA PR or MN1 or?

Post by rasammm » Wed Nov 09, 2016 12:50 pm

Hi, I'm planning to get british passports for myself and 3 children.
We are all lithuanians with lithuanian passports, my son was born in UK 8 years ago, two girls were born in Lithuania EU. My husband was naturalised as british just last year. We live in the UK 9 years.
Is there any family naturalisation application, or joint fee?
Will my son who is 8 now (born in UK) get any reduced fee?

You can't apply for British passports if you are not British. You need to apply for British citizenship first.

Each person must complete their own form and pay the individual fee. You can submit together. No joint fee as such. Suggest apply using NCS at the council.
Will my son who is 8 now (born in UK) get any reduced fee?
No, he does not, he has to pay the full fee for MN1 of £936

No discounts for families.
No family application as such.

Note Minors are registered (not naturalised) under various sections of BNA using form MN1.

UK-born child has an entitlement to be registered once at least one parent is settled (or becomes British); section 1(3) of BNA.

Non-UK born children will need settled status (PR) and are registered at Home Secretary's discretion; section 3(1) of BNA.
