Documents were sent by Special Delivery...

I have just done a 'track and Trace' search on the royal mail service and the document was delivered in Wolverhampton before 9:00am this morning

Presumably the nearest sorting office for Cannock Mail is in Wolverhampton.. :?:

I will monitor my account today and Monday to check if money 'flies' off

Checkmate,

Does the FLR team acknowledge receipt of the application?

I am about to apply for FLR(IED) based on HSMP approval but I am also in the midst of changing homes. Will be moving on the 20th of Nov and signing the tenancy contract tommrow.

I was thinking of either applying on monday and giving my new address or wait until the 20th. Can you please suggest the best course of action.

Thanks.

As from bouncingboy's posting above, HO acknowledge receipt of application within 3 days - the choice is yours

Thanks both of you.

Saturday I posted my FLR application along with my passports and other docuements. :)

mwazir,

I am also planning to move house so I requested them in my cover letter to send the passports to my office address as of now.And also I told them I will send a fax if my address changes.

So now another 2 months waiting

I thought you had to decide between current employer and new job this weekend. Looks like you chose to stick around? 8) Its nice when your employer makes you feel indespensible :)

I am moving on the 20th, just signed my new tenancy contract. I am planning to send it a few days before moving in the new place so that I avoid the complications of notificating them new address etc.

ND, Let me know when you recieve your acknowledgement from operations team. Want to see the they are consistently getting back to applicants in three days.

You bett, It can be really diffcult to make the choice. It gives me sleepless nights sometimes.

In truth, my company is in the middle of a takeover and no one knows what the results might be. This is still shaping out and it will take its own time. Nobody's job is safe. My boss himself suggested that I save myself the ignomity of loosing a job by applying for HSMP and ensuring I have legal status of staying in the country even if I am made redundant.

Now thats the tricky part.. redundancy payouts are generally good settlements. If there is no redundancy then there is generally a decent bonus at the end of the year plus my long standing salary adjustment due at the end of year.

The million dollar question is - what would you prefer - redundancy with a decent settlement or resign and take up a new job. Without HSMP I would have choosen the second, now with an approval in hand, I am spoilt for choices. I am inclined to getting my FLR stamped and thus when the approval comes I will hopefully still be employed and will be entering my HSMP 1 year trail being employed, salaried and economically "active". Or maybe the whole thing will crumble and the sky will fall on my head, I will be scurrying for cover and searching for a new job made easier with an HSMP stamp. Either ways its not the end of the world ;)

Looks like they have deducted money yesterday today I just used the telephone credit card enquiry service and its showing my available balance as £121 less than what it should be .. 8)

So I may receive a mail from them in the next 3 days :)

On track ND :)

They dont have backlogs when it comes to processing the payments. Maybe they have more people on the charging team than the case workers ;) Just kidding

It is the perfect business, charge now, keep the money and deliver the service in 8 months :)
If i get the HSMP I will try to open a similar business :)

Everything seems to be going to plan so far...

..I have recieved an acknowledgement letter from HO 'managed migration' dated 5th Nov..same day as the delivery date

Letter is a 'standard one' possibly computer generated by the charging team...reference number completely different from HSMP ref no. :(

I thought the letter would end with Merry X-mas
