Tier 2 General (Changes of employment)

Hi

I applied for Tier 2 General (Changes of employment) and the application was approved on Nov 19th. The CoS letter had sponsored job title as System Consultant under the SoC 2135 IT Business Analysts and system designers. However, the approval letter had the Job title as 'IT Analyst and System design' instead of System Consultant. All other information was correct regarding the employment as per CoS(employer details, salary etc). I am confused whether this is ok or not, the job title is the actual SoC title itself on the approval letter.

Should I contact the home office regarding this? In that case what will happen?

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks for your time.

Your sponsor might have written your job title like that on the COS - might be worth checking with them.
Otherwise, I don't see major issues... but always worth notifying if there is a discrepancy.

Have checked the Cos and everything seems to be ok. The CoS states as,

Job title: System Consultant
Job type: 2135 IT Analyst and System designers

Presume they just entered job type as job title on the approval letter. I have also received my biometric card and all seems ok. I have let my HR know and they said it shouldn't be a problem as System consultant comes under the same SoC category. Will this have any affect? Should I write a cover letter to the address shown on approval letter?

I just checked my approval letter and it has my correct Job title.

I think it should not be a problem as in your case its look like its a typo error but to reassure yourself you can write back to the case working asking if the wrong job title on approval letter needs correction or not?

Hi Hassanh,

Thanks for your reply. I have been thinking the same, to send a cover letter along with relevant documents (CoS, Offer letter and approval letter) to the address mentioned in the approval letter. The approval letter has the case worker full name so sending documents shouldn't be a problem. But I am worried whether it would affect the decision (not sure?) and reluctant to contact them.

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks for your time.

Sorry, I am not 100% sure about the regulations for switching from ICT to Tier 2 general.
