Can HSMP spouse study ?

Can my spouse as a 'secondary applicant/ dependent' of an HSMP visa holder study in UK ?

Does claiming 10 points under the head 'skilled partner' disqualify a spouse from doing so ?

I asked this question to the Home Office HSMP team but they are no longer replying to individual queries .....

As your dependent your spouse can work or study in the UK. There is no restriction exception that her validity of stay will ofcourse be dependent on yours.

Claiming 10 points for a skilled partner only helps you in your application. It is of no consequence to your partner's dependent status.
