Any 1 got EC Approval without providing a CA Certificate?

Post by pavam » Thu Jan 10, 2008 8:56 am

Hi All

I just need to know if any one has multiple accounts including Demat, got EC approval, but did not attach the CA Certificate?

I've 1 Salary-Savings and 2 Savings account. I also have a Demat account.

To sum up, I've 4 different account which have a total of 8 Lac INR = 11000 GBP.

I have properly mentioned all of this in a seperate covering letter. Wont this be sufficient or do I need to get a CA Certificate?

BHC doesn't ask for a CA certificate and it's not mentioned on ANY of the websites or Guidelines I've been through till date. Then why does every single person keep suggesting about a CA Certificate?

Has any one got approval without providing a CA Certificate?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think you will need a CA certificate.

At VFS they will ask for your bank account details. Just mention all four accounts. that will be enough.

CA statement is most submitted by those who are showing funds in instruments other than cash like PF/Mutual funds/Stocks/etc.

I had shown 3000 GBP in two different accounts and wife's sponsorship to the extent of GBP 2000. I did not submit an CA document and got a quick approval. Would suggest you to do the same.

cheers!
