Have you travelled to the UK in the last 10 years?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for reassurance. On the Tier 2 Visa application one of the questions is "Have you travelled to the UK in the last 10 years?"

1. What is the importance of this question to UKVI? The reason I ask is this year I have made 3 trips to the UK solo (2 week increments each) for leisure and/or to visit friends. Will these trips throughout the year set off any "alarms" or am I being paranoid?

No they won't. You are allowed to travel to the UK and it won't be held against you.

UKVI wants to know your travel history, they know when you were here and will match what you write to what they hold on their systems. Many people withhold certain dubious travel history which then results in a ban when they apply for a visa due to deception.

Thank you much! Last time I was in the UK I was supposed to catch a flight to Northern Ireland which didn't pan out. If the flight didn't occur, assume I don't need to outline travel that fell through?
