Hi,

I have been living and working in the UK for the past three years under work permit dependent visa (my wife is on a work permit). I recently applied for an HSMP and my application has been successful. Being on a dependent visa i have been asked to get EC from India as i am not eligible for FLR within the UK. So, i am now planning a visit to India to obtain EC. Has anyone gone through this process as i am not sure of timelines etc.

I have been advised it typically takes 15 days or so. Any tips or comments would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

refusal rate is very high
