FLR (M) Extension Extension Questions

Post by Yazzy » Mon Feb 20, 2017 2:17 pm

My husband's 2.5 year visa is expiring soon and we need to apply for further leave to remain

We live with my parents so we have no bills under our names except for 1 joint bank account which his wages is paid into.
We don't really use or touch the wages as we are saving up to move out from my parents house this year after we get the new visa
Would this arise questions?
We live and eat for free at my parents and i have a separate income in another account which we use.

We also have a car insurance with my dad included on the policy
would this count?

We've just been really busy and never got round to opening bank accounts together

We've been on holiday together

Would this be enough?
We're registered at the same doctors surgery
We're on the voting register

English Test Expired?

Post by Yazzy » Mon Feb 20, 2017 2:24 pm

My husband took an English test in May 2014 in India
The certificate was issued by Cambridge
He passed level A2
Is this test still valid? Can we use it for FRL (M)?

I can't answer your question regarding the English test but hopefully someone else will confirm.

Firstly, ask your parents to provide a supporting letter to state that you live with them rent free and explain what you have said about saving for house.
Secondly, make sure you provide satisfactory proof of accommodation (updated versions of whatever you submitted for the initial application should suffice).
Thirdly, just get together ALL letters you have received from any registered company and/or government department such as DWP when your husband got his NI number, HMRC tax letters, bank letters, GP, etc. Unless you throw letters out I'm sure you will find you have enough even though you don't pay bills.
Finally, having a joint account isn't necessary so don't worry about that.
