Applying for ILR HELP NEEDED!!

Hi, I am going to apply for my wifes ILR in september 2008 and i would like to know exactly what documents do i send? and also me and my wife live in my sisters house which is a big house and i have bought a house last year myself but i have put that on rent, but i pay a mortgage and my bank statement shows my mortgage going out. How would i write this to the home office when i apply for the ILR?.
I have heard stories whereby if i write i live elsewhere but have a house somewhere else they sometimes suspect that im living in that house i have bought and my wife lives elsewhere, so how can i show that i am living as i am now with my wife in my sisters home but have a mortgage on a different house. please reply.
