CHILD TAX Credit ILR AND FLR M

Post by saj626 » Mon Mar 06, 2017 4:40 pm

Hello
I am on ILR (LR) (Granted June 2016) and my wife she is on FLR (M) visa.
I am getting Child Benefit for 2 children both born in UK and both got British nationality. (I am the claimant)
My Question is.
Can I apply child tax credit?
Will it effect on my nationality application in June 2017.
Will it effect on my wife FLR (M) extension, ILR, and nationality?
We both work myself 20 hours a week she works 23 hours week.

Many Thanks

Tax credits must be claimed in JOINT names.

My Question is.
Can I apply child tax credit? Yes, in JOINT names with your spouse.

Will it effect on my nationality application in June 2017. No

Will it effect on my wife FLR (M) extension, ILR, and nationality? No, not if you claim correctly and JOINTLY with yous spouse.

Dear members

Do I have to write a letter to tax credit office stating my wife is under immigration control as she is on FLR (M) visa and I am on ILR. However on the claim form on YOUR PARTNER section, Question number 1.8 says “Have you been subject to immigration control in the last month”. I already answered yes (for my wife)
Do I still have to write a letter to them? For claiming child tax credit.

Not required.
