FLR FP interview (Toeic test) 10 years route as a partner

Post by Adeel2013 » Wed Mar 15, 2017 8:20 am

Hello Everyone,
This is my first post in this forum and I desperately need your help and advice. I will try to summarise my situation.
Came to uk 05-2011 tier 4 student visa
Got married with a british girl 09-2012

Applied (10-2013) on FLR O as partner and parent of a child and application considered under partners 10 years route because I wasn't earning £18600 and also used ETS TOEIC TEST with this application.
Before finishing my visa now I applied for FLR FP in May 2016. After almost 10 months long wait yesterday 14-03-17 HO called me for video link interview and all they asked me about my ETS TOEIC test which i did in 2013. Any idea what will be the outcome of my application
Has anyone been through this type of interview? please share with me and everyone else who is in the same situation.
Thanks for help

Hi Ana,

All they ask me was about the Toeic test which I used for my last application FLR O in 2013.

how did you find course and how did you book
Did you pay cash and how much you paid
How many students were there
How long did it take
Did you take classes before
These type of qs they asked me

Thank you Adeel

My Tier 2 extension was refused in Nov 2016 with no right of Appeal on the basis of Toeic took in 2012. Although I never used the test and obtain any leave on the basis of this test still they refused my extension.

I have applied for JR and waiting for the outcome. Any idea how long will it take?

Regards
Ana

I applied in first week of October 2016 and got refusal end of November 2016 almost after two months.

I'm trying to know if any one did the Toeic but never used it so what they have the outcome of these type of cases. They have mentioned in the refusal, although none of my applications are based on this test still they refused because I did Toeic some point in past. I think, this is absolutely horrendous.

Have you got in country right of appeal? What options thay have given you when they refused your visa. I heard from many solicitors if I got the right of appeal then my case could be winnable.

Regards
Ana

Married to British citizen father of two (British), third in November, Applied for extension in June 2106, (10 days out of time).
They interviewed me about toeic done in 2011, Just like ana, I haven't used the qualification for any application! But looks like they are gna refuse just based on this!

Wife is on maternity and is difficult for her to go back to work, and this application has been a nightmare as I'm the main breadwinner for this family, living on savings which is disappearing....

Thanks for sharing
I had been on toeic interview 7 weeks ego and now waiting for reply.
Im married to a British girl and I also have a child 4 years old now.
When I switch from student visa to 10 years route I attached TOEIC certificate but it wasn't necessary because in this route you're exempt English language certificate.
When did they call you for an interview?

I hope so too. I think the people who have been called for an interview have more chances to get visa. At least home office have given them a chance to explain their position.

In my situation, they blindly refused and haven't asked for any further explanation.

Hi Colombakolla

Please share what type of questions have they asked you in the interview? Have you had the answers for all the questions? I mean to keep remember 5 or 6 years old things it's not easy. Especially, when you future is at stake and based on your answers.

Pls share, Ana

They called me to come in on First week of April (05) . I totally forgot about this exam.....As I did it just before getting married I had completely forgotten about it....

Hi Ana,
It was exact the same questions adeel had posted,

Did you prepare for his exam?
Was there other people doing it?
How much did you pay?
Who did you pay?
Why this particular college? ( now that this "college" is
closed...I'm worried)
The exam structure etc

At the time I was considering my visa options, and thought to get the English qualification out of the way....very much regret getting involved with Toeic!

My solicitor received a letter just last week Friday, now the CW asking for further evidence of my family life, from Jan till now, to show the kids and my wife r living wv me!

Also hv asked for some consultants letter, as one of my children is receiving medical care.

I'm really angry on the length of duration this application has taken!

Hopefully a decision will be made soon, hope things are better for you guys?

My JR application has been refused on 2 May, Judge said HO decision is correct. I have applied again for oral hearing permission, this is a last chance and last option for me , lets see what happen.

Hi Jay
I know, most of JR applications are refusing. My solicitor has applied permission for Oral Hearing (that's what you had applied for). Solicitor said it will take three months to get the date. Then Judge will decide whether to go for Oral Hearing or not.

Hoping for the BEST
