Skilled Migrant Visa - Subclass 175 - Online Application Qs

Post by mov2oz » Wed Jan 23, 2008 1:51 am

I was planning to apply online for my Skilled Independed Migrant Visa (sub class 175) and had a question on the supporting documents.

I believe supporting documents need to be scanned and uploaded online along with the application.

Do we need to get the documents certified before scanning them OR is a colour scanned copy of the original sufficient.

You do not need to get the documents certified if:

1. The scan is of the original document.
2. The scan is in colour.

You must get a certified copy if:

1. You can only submit scans in black & white. In this case the scan must be of the certified copy, not the original.

As a side note, files submitted must be one of the following file formats.

BMP - (Bitmap picture)
DOC - (Microsoft Word)
DOT - (Microsoft Word Template)
GIF - (GIF picture)
JPG - (JPEG picture)
PDF - (Adobe Portable Document Format)
RTF - (Rich Text Format)
TXT - (Plain ASCII text)
XLS - (Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet)

You do have a file size limit and an overall limit on the how much you can upload but the exact values escape me at the moment.

Hope that helps
:D
