Post by singhmohit » Mon Apr 10, 2017 10:02 pm

So we applied for my wife's spouse visa (Indian passport, husband me has British passport) on 21st Feb (date of bio-metrics).
I enquired on 27th March and got replied "yet to be assessed".
But when I enquired more recently on 04th April through their online status check website; I got the following reply on 08th April (thats right on a Saturday!):

Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry
Service.
Please provide the following information below.
1. Reason for escalation:
2. Name:
3. GWF:
4. DOB:
5. Visa Type:
6.Country you are applying:
7. Nationality:
8. Visa Application Centre:
9. Date of Appointment:
10. Passport Number:
11. email on the application:
For any further details, or should you need to contact us again please
refer to our website at https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com/, select
appropriate country, click next and then select 'E-Mail form' and complete
as instructed. We will aim to come back to you within 1 day.
Kind regards

I mean, seriously? What have I done wrong? Surely I provided them all the info when I filled up the online form to check the status.....Am I not supposed to contact them more than once?
Any thoughts please?

Do you think I should wait for the standard 12 weeks to pass before I involve the local MPs?

I did not raise a formal escalation... I just filled up their online "Status Enquiry Form" and the text in italics is the response I got.
