Is it mandatory to attest photocopies for tier 2 dependant

I am applying for tier 2 general dependant visa.
Is it required to attest photocopies of my original documents by the gazetted officer as I will submit photocopies and originals in tier 2 dependant application?

I would be very grateful for your advise.
