Schengen visa required on UK Spouse Visa?

Hi,

I seem to be confused by all the posts on this topic. I am a British Passport holder and my wife is living with me on a UK Spouse visa. She has a UK Biometric card with the spouse visa on that.

We plan to travel together to Spain in July. Does she have to apply for a Schengen Visa?

And if so, do we have to show flight/hotel details, payslips etc. Or would copies of our passports, marriage certificate and Biometric card suffice?

To avoid delays at the airport and border controls, apply for a free Schengen visa. Don't have to answer questions marked with "*" on the application form form.

Agreed with Vinny. Just apply the free schengen visa at Spanish Embassy.

She is currently back home for a short while. Can she apply for a schengen visa at the Spanish embassy there, but then come to London and travel to Spain from here?

She is currently in Jerusalem.

We want to travel to Spain shortly after her arriving back in London. That's why we don't have time to apply in the embassy here.

Yes. However, she may need to supply original documents, including your British passport and marriage certificate, etc. Does she have them with her?

She has her travel document and Biometric Card with her.
