Tier 2 General Visa applicant sponsorship for General Visit

Hi All experts

Sorry it this has been in the wrong category. But I really need to clarify something.

I am on Tier 2 visa and my parents wish to visit UK to meet us and their grandson. They applied in Nov 2016 but their visa was refused due to insufficient funds

My dad has recently retired and my mom is working - I want to ask is that in order to avoid any refusal is it possible that I can supply my financial documents, fill in my details in application form as sposnor and provide a letter to support that I will sponsor my parents finically during visit and will staying with me. They will only visiting for 3 weeks max as my mom cant have more than 3 weeks off

Please do let me know if this is possible and how much funding do I have show. Any advise will be much appreciated...

they will be applying in general visitor category.
You can send a letter and bank statement saying that u can support them while they are here and that they can stay with you, however they will still have to satisfy their own requirement as a visitor.. i.e., justifying the ECO that they will eventually return. This can be in form of statement, house ownership, work letter etc.
