CoS Start Date Issue

I was issued a CoS with the start date of July 1, 2017. Applied for visa through the Premium Service (within the UK) and decision was granted on June 13, 2017. I am flying home today and wish to return on August 15. My HR did not mention anything about this during initial correspondence but I read online that rules have changed; start date can only be extended by a maximum of 4 weeks from date in CoS or date visa/entry clearance granted.

I am currently discussing with HR and they propose I start on July 28, 2017 which is within the 4 week period. Would this be OK especially as I will be leaving the UK tonight. I can come back whenever so any advice would be much appreciated!
