British passport for child

hi

My baby was born in India on 22/09/2016 . her father is born british so she is entitled to a british passport by descent. my husband has not met our daughter even once. can he apply for her british passport from UK? is dat even possible?

and can he register her as a british citizen even if she has not even entered UK or is he just making a fool out of me and my daughter. plz help. I donot want to risk my daughters future

If your husband is a British citizen and was born in the U.K. it appears that your daughter is a British citizen by descent.

It's recommended to get a consular birth certificate:
https://www.gov.uk/register-a-birth

Since the child is in India, passport application should be made from India.
