Documents required while travelling to UK

Post by pktamil2007 » Mon Feb 11, 2008 2:34 pm

Hi all,

I got my EC and would be travelling to UK around 20th of this month.

What would be the documents that would be required for me to take along at the Immigration Clearance?

At the immigration clearance, what kind of questions are asked?

Since this is the time of changes happening to the old HSMP being replaced by Tier 1, what surprises can be expected at the entry port?

Members, please share your opinions.......

Hi

You need your passport and HSMP approval letter at the point of entry.
There are not much questions asked. But be prepared for the questions e.g. where you are going to live? Do you have any friend or relative here? How much money you have? These are just general questions. Nothing to worry about.... better to carry all the necessary documents that you have applied for EC.
Thinking low is crime....

Thanks for the reply.

I read about the chest x-ray to be taken while travelling to UK.

Is this based on the nationality or from the place where we are travelling?

I am presently in Germany and would be going to UK from here itself. So in that case, would a chest x-ray be required?

What is your nationality,
Clearly you read it based on country of origin
Why divert us to where you are presenting when it has no bearing
the io will see your passport and nationality nothing more
