do business under gen tier 2 visa

If i am a general tier 2 visa holder, can i create a private limited company? Or a corporation? Do i need to be just the owner of that company? Or can i be a director or shareholder as well? Am i going to be deported if i will have a business under this kind of visa? What are the ways to be under gen 2 tier visa but owns a company? Does the director needs to be british citizen? How will i pay for my tax?

some people seem to think u can.
as per my understanding, being a director of company, u will have to submit CT600, for which you should also be registered as self employed, which u cant.
if you have a dependent, they can register a company on their name.

wait for your settled status (ilr) before doing any business.
alternatively, if you are confident in your business, change to tier 1 ent, and work on your business

You don't seem to understand what Iworker was telling you. Tier 2 general only allows you to work for your sponsor and a supplementary work of not more than 20 hours. The supplementary job must be in the same field and you can not own the company. If you want to change to Tier 1 ENT. Read all the requirement and then apply. You can inform your employer after you have the visa. You might also be able to continue working for them as a contractor under your own company

I am in a similar boat. I just registered the company while I was on PSW visa. But never operated, and is dissolved after I switched in tier 2 general visa.

Will this anyway impact the ILR?

Sorry, should have been clearer. It was only dissolved 3 months after I switched to Tier 2. In fact the companies house did that. I only checked it later.
