A Confusing Dilema!!!!

Hi Guys,

Question for you - I have been on a work permit for 2yrs now and was wondering whether I could obtain a highly skilled visa ( i do have the nessesary points for it) too as its easier to move jobs with a highly skilled visa than the work permit. My questions are :

I am aiming to get my indef leave to remain. If i get a HSMP will by 2yrs on my work permit be carried counted or do i start from scratch and need to have another 5yrs?

Work permit to HSMP is ok, the other way round isn't.

I think the new rules coming in march will allow HSMP to Work Permit to count towards ILR

The new rules (PBS) say that HSMP+WP = ILR.
