PBS Dependant extension with main applicant on ILR

Post by Testanalyst » Thu Aug 17, 2017 4:49 pm

Hi,
I have recently received my ILR Visa(Indefinite Leave to Remain), previously was in UK under Tier2 ICT visa for 5 years.
I now need to apply an extension for my wife and kid who’s visa will be expiring on the 30th September 17.
I would like these to be answered please.
1. I believe I need to extend the visa as 'PBS Dependent' visa. Please confirm if this is true?
2. Which application form do I have to fill in for my wife and Kid?
3 Will I have to do separate forms ? if so – can you please point me to the forms as its quite confusing to pick the right one?
4. Documents required to support my application and fees?
5. Do I need to send my passport and BRP originals while applying the postal visa
6. What will be the timelines from when I applied to biometric till the arrival of the visa

It would be really helpful if you could provide info to the above queries.

Thanks very much

Correct yes.
2. Which application form do I have to fill in for my wife and Kid?

Online form only, see links below.

https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... nt-partner
3 Will I have to do separate forms ? if so – can you please point me to the forms as its quite confusing to pick the right one?
Not sure if you can add child or not. Wait for someone else to offer advice. Was your child born abroad?
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... dant-child
4. Documents required to support my application and fees?
Bank statements showing maintenance funds is definite. Not too sure about the rest.

£600 IHS for EACH applicant, plus the visa fee of £892 each person postal or £1,482 each person in person at premium service centre.
5. Do I need to send my passport and BRP originals while applying the postal visa
Certified copy should be fine.
6. What will be the timelines from when I applied to biometric till the arrival of the visa
8-12 weeks if applying by post, might take longer might take less time.

Thank you Cr001.

I have done some reading and can understand that this link PBS Dependant Partner - Link to application page: https://visas-immigration. service.gov.uk/product/pbs- dependant-partner

can be used to apply for your partner and child together. Can someone help to confirm this?

thanks

Please don't tag questions onto the end of an old and inactive thread from 2017. Testanalyst hasn't visted the forum since Oct 21, 2017
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
