canada visa refusal 2009

Hi there,

I was refused a student visa for canada in 2009.

i was dumb at that time that I didn't bother to keep the application with me. And, I have blur memories on the reasons behind the rejection.

I'm applying for tier 4. And there is a question have your visa been rejected before.

I ticked yes.

But then came the other boxes of type of visa refusal and reasons.

I have no idea about this. What's the alternative?

Can I write unknown/application lost. and ellaborate it more in cover letter?

has anyone gone through similar problems?
