Changing Private Life application type

Hi
just would like some advice on weather i could change my application type in future, currently i am on FLR FP due to spending more than half my life and being under 25, sent of my application for further leave in december 2016 still awaiting. i was wondering if at some point i could switch to FLP as a parent and use the premium service to avoid the lengthy wait in future, although i dont know what the future holds in terms of processing times ect.
