Transfer of Subsidiary Protection status from one member state to another

If someone has been granted subsidiary protection status (e.g. in Italy) can it be transferred to another EU country (e.g. Germany). Also, can subsidiary protection holder claim any social security benefits if they are over the retirement age and have never worked in the country that granted Subsidiary Protection to that person?
