Apply for Tier-4 visa

Hi,

If my visa expires on 12 April 2018 and the course which I am going to apply is about to commence by 1st of June 2018, so my question is - Can I apply for extension on Tier-4 student visa before/on 12 April 2018 for the course which is about to commence after 6-7 weeks which is on 1st of June 2018?

Please advise. Thanks a lot.

I'm afraid you will have to apply from overseas. The Tier 4 policy guidance states that -
If you are applying to continue your studies in the UK, your new course must start within 28 days of the expiry of your permission to stay or, if you overstayed, within 28 days of when that period of overstaying began.
