Naturalisation time .

Just was wondering whether the naturalisation period has been increased from ILR +1 to ILR +2 .
Or is it a discussion that new rule will be i place soon .

There is no change ... there is consultation about a possible change.

But pksachdeva it would be helpful to say on what basis the Naturalisation application would be made? Are you a spouse (or Civil Partner) of a British Citizen? Also, when did you first come to the UK (legally)?

I have got ILR on 9th May 2007 after my stay of five years in UK on combination WP and HSMP .

I landed in UK on 8th May 2002 on WP .Please advise

The rules haven`t been changed yet so you should be eligible to apply for naturalisation on 9/05/2008
