A Brit and a Chilean in Spain....Help!!!!

Post by k4kazz » Mon Feb 25, 2008 11:39 am

I am a British woman with a British passport, my fiance is Chilean with a Chilean Passport. We live in Spain and intend to remain here. My fiance is having trouble getting residencia as he cannot find a job that offers a contract. If he and i were to marry would he be able to become an EU citizen by marriage? Any help would be appreciated or any ideas that anyone may have. Many thanks.

Spain has fast track naturalisation rule for those from its former colonies- 2 years was the rule (at least in 2006).
