Police clearance certificate for tier 2 visa

Hi, Had a query regarding the police clearance certificate for tier 2 visa on behalf of my wife.

I am currently in the UK on a dependant visa and will be soon going to my home country to apply for tier 2 general visa as a main applicant. My job requires police clearance certificate. I already got one from my embassy in the UK. Is that ok? or will i need to get another one from my home country when i go there?

I think this should be fine.
But you can get one from your local police station in case.
