Has anyone applied for their spouse visa, as a carer? If so, can you tell me what documents are required and for what period of time? What things do you have to show before submitting the application? Thank you.

And who is being 'cared for'?

Carer is the wife in UK. She is caring for her aunt since June 2017. she is also employed part time and meets the required income level.

Your wife is also planning to claim housing benefits. What other benefits are being claimed?

The FLR(M) form tells you what is required.

If you meet the financial requirement from income, why not use that route?

No, the wife does not meet the threshold income ie. £18,600

She is getting carers allowance of £62 per week and then earnings of £100 per week, hence i understand that she has to meet the adequate maintenance. On that basis, I want to know what is difference in paperwork required as compared to someone applying through normal income threshold.
