Need an advice for a long wait results of the Join Spouse Visa

Hi all!!

I need an advise please help. I am from Philippines, spouse of an EU citizen living in Ireland. We applied for a Join Spouse Visa, and we're still waiting for result almost 8months now, it was indicated that they aim to process the application within 6months, but we were wondering until when we have to wait, since I am pregnant now. Is there anybody who had experience waiting for result for a long time? Or maybe there's another option to do with this situation? Please help.
