Applying in March:Query on Previous Earnings: Important

Post by newbee2008 » Tue Mar 04, 2008 10:12 am

I am submitting my Pay Slips from Feb 2007 to Feb 2008 and I am aiming for 40+ points in the Earning Section.
(GBP 6000+ Means 35 points and GBP 6600+ Means 40 Points and GBP 7500+ Means 45 points)

Firstly, from 17th June, 2007 to 23rd December, 2007 I was seconded (deputed) to UK. During this time I was paid an allowance of 1610 GBP for my expenses for which I never paid any taxes in UK (I do have payslips for this) and on the other hand my Indian Salary continued to be paid by the employer but NOT in full.

Secondly, for rest of the months(Feb07,Mar07,April07,Jun07,Jan08,Feb08) I was paid normal Indian Salary.

My Queries
1. I read in the Guidance notes that if the applicant has worked exactly 6 months in each country then the Points will be calculated on pro-rata basis. And
the income that benefits the applicant most should be the figure that is considered.

If this is so then my UK Salary earned in 6 months is 1610 * 6 = 9660 GBP. According to the pro-rata formula 9660*12/6 = 19320GBP per annum

Can somebody tell me Which band should I refer for points earned. Band A or Band D? I am applying from India

2. If I show all my Payslips for the period above (UK+Indian payslips) then can I claim points against UK Work experience?

3. If I show all my Payslips (UK+Indian payslips) then the document that I have arranged to send them are

i. Payslips(Six Months UK Payslip +12 Months Indian Payslip)
ii. Income tax return (But this covers only 2 months from the claim period.i.e. Feb and March, 2007)
iii. Bank Statement of India Salary Account (Shows the NET Salary figure paid)
iv. Letter from Employer (Stating my revised Salary in Gross(6,93000 Rs.) and the Date of Joining and my current designation)

Will the Letter from Employer help since it just states my Gross annual pay?
Please confirm that the above documents is enough to gain 40+ points.

hi,

please answer the following
Did ur company issue UK playslips (am confused as u gave contradictory statements)

never paid any taxes in UK (I do have payslips for this)
If I show all my Payslips for the period above (UK+Indian payslips) then can I claim points against UK Work experience?

if u r given UK payslips and u have paid tax, then u can claim points from Uk,else u have to show ur Indian Salary + IT(p60 and saral India) as ur proof to claim points.

I think £1600 they issued to u is calculated and given as Daily Expenses ad not as salary, approximate £100/day for ur food, room rental, etc ,if I'm not mistaken.this is what normally most of the Indian Companies do .

You can add six months Indian salary ,convert into GBP, add to your uk allowance and then prorate. This will give your previous earning.

Hello friends,

1. Thank you for your time and your answers.

2. I was paid UK allowance after tax deductions. The tax on which is paid by my company. The Payslip that I have is for the monthly allowance of 1610 GBP paid to me in NET. Since I was on Work Permit, I was paid monthly and not on daily allowance basis. The daily allowance is given when one is on Business visa.

3. In my Work Permit the Salary per annum mentioned is 32700 GBP.

4. I fear that if I send my Indian pay slips only and not show them my UK payslips then I may get less points and moreover I may miss 5 points for UK work experience as well.

5. Now having this information, can you suggest me whether to send them all the payslips (UK payslips for 6 months + Indian Payslips for 12 months) or just send them Indian payslips for 12 months?

6. Finally, by looking at the table below Can you tell me how much maximum points I can earn and on what Band?

Hello rely,

I agree to your point and I will definitely send them all the Pay slips without hiding anything from them.

Can you also tell me your views on how much point I should claim on the basis of the table(Salaries) that I posted?

While filling in the application I'll need this information.

Your inputs will be very important to me.
Thank you
