newly married to a Spaniard EEA Family Permit to the UK

Post by JimNz » Sun Nov 12, 2017 10:26 am

Hello

I'm a non-EEA citizen married to a Spanish citizen. she and I got married two weeks ago -end of October- in my country of origin. we met each other at college four years ago and we continued our master's degree studies together after that. we both live in Palestine and she travels to Spain regularly to visit her family. we are planning to travel to the UK next January -2018-

"we live together"
"we will be traveling together"

:!: back in September I submitted a Visit Visa application to the UK, on 03 October I received a refusal for not submitting documents showing the origin of cash-flow shown on my bank account statements.

the original plan was to get a visit visa and travel with my then-to-be wife to the UK at the end of 2017 or start of 2018. I had no idea that something called Family permit existed.

now we are married and we know about the family permit thing. do I have to be worried about the past visit visa refusal? it's so recent and when I apply for the Family Permit start of January 2018 we'd be married for two months only :!: .

what proof should I submit?

I imagine that I should mention my past refusal but do I have to? I actually think I better do, what do you advise?

so that's it! please advise. many thanks in advance
