Children citizenship processing time

Dear all .
I applied for my children's (under 10 year old)irish naturalization and got the acknowledgement letter but it doesn't say anything about the processing time.Does anyone have an idea how long does it take to get irish citizenship certificate for children.? What further process is involved in children's application approval.?

Hi Shafiq, after how many days did you get the acknowledgement letter? I applied last week but haven't got the letter yet.

I applied for my four year old in May and got the approval late september.

Once the approval is received, you need to send a 200 Euro bank draft with photos and then wait for the certificate in the post. Its a recorded delivery by the way.

Although the application form doesnt mention anything about sending a passport, copy or original, the department did ask for my child's original passport which they returned within a fortnight.

I got the acknowledgement 10 days after sending the applications.They did ask me to send child's passport .
