Tier 2 ICT Sep 2010 to Tier 2 General

Hi There,

Please help urgent,

I am in UK since Sep 2010 in TIER 2 ICT visa, Am I eligible to switch to TIER 2 GENERAL

The immigration website is confusing as it says Immigration rules applied before 6th April 2010, please can you also share the immigration rules. My visa is getting over in a month and need to switch to Tier 2 General at the earliest, so please help.

What date had you applied for Tier 2 ICT first time and whats the issue date on it?

Hi Ravi,

Yes you are eligible to switch to Tier 2 general. The Tier 2 guidance document clearly states that one who came to UK before 06 April 2011 under the Tier 2 ICT Established Staff sub category can switch visas. Search the forum to find the link to the relevant document and clause. All the best.
