'Moves to slash immigration backlog'

Post by Richter » Fri Mar 14, 2008 8:13 am

This from an article in the Financial Post 13 March:

The federal government is set to reduce the number of new immigration applications it accepts in a dramatic change of policy aimed at cutting the backlog of nearly 900,000 people who have already applied to enter Canada.

Would imagine if this goes ahead points rise might be on the cards?

Hi,
I think what they are doing is only for future applicants. In pipe applications should not be affected.
