Jobs for IT professional with Working Holiday maker Visa

Post by rckybhardwaj » Wed Dec 08, 2004 9:23 am

Dear Forum Members,
My brother is coming to the UK on a working holiday maker visa next year.
He is an IT professional with 5 years experience in software testing, j2ee, and is working back home in a reputed IT company.
Could any of the IT Professionals who is currently working in the UK throw some light about the job scenario for software in UK right now.

Thanks & Best Regards

Ricky

UK IT Industry

Post by mjwall » Wed Dec 08, 2004 11:11 am

G'day ND,

I have been in the UK (London) for the past 20 months and have found the IT industry very good. I have 5 years to date under the belt in software development and continually get phone calls from agencies. best bet is get your brother to post his CV on JobServe once he has a UK mobile number. Then simply apply via email / jobsites and ALWAYS follow up with a call to the IT agency about 30mins after your application. This way the recruiter shall look at your CV. These are my tips and with some patience they work!

Good luck
