Delayed start date

Post by shandar13 » Mon Jan 22, 2018 12:55 pm

Hi All,

I have successfully changed my tier2 sponsor and have received a new BRP with a starting date 02/01/2018, however, due to background checks my employer is delaying my start date till 06/02/2018.

That is longer that 4 weeks and I understand it is against the rules.

Does anyone know what can be done in this situation? Does it mean a new visa should be obtained? If Yes, does it mean RLMT needs to be performed once again?

Please share your thoughts.

Thank you

Not sure about how the Job start date and cos start date works.
But, RLMT once conducted is valid for 6 months.

I think I read somewhere that the employer can have the start date of employment up to 90 days later on the COS.

If they change it after COS / Visa is issued, I would assume it would be a case of just informing the Home Office through the SMS system.
