How to fill SELT UER on SET(O) form

Hi,
This may probably sound like a stupid question but I need to fill in the SELT UER on the SET(O) form.

The Trinity college FAQs state
"If you took the exam after 18 August 2015 you will find the reference number on your certificate. For example: TCL/123456/123456/123456789

All reference numbers shown above are for example purposes only. Please note: do not put / in the spaces provided on the application form."

Where it says do not put / in the spaces on the form - what does that mean?

Should we fill it in as one long string of characters

i.e. TCL123456123456123456789
OR

Leave a space between the various components but not fill in the slash
i.e.
TCL 123456 123456 123456789

I have checked on the form and there are enough boxes to leave a space in between.
