HSMP Extension - FLR(IED)

In the FLR(IED) form, it states that:

...
HSMP applicants should have received an approval letter from the HSMP Team, Home Office. If you have not received approval for an IED, your application for further leave to remain in the UK will be refused...

I am about to apply for my extension;however, I haven't received any letter from HO. I opened this topic earlier and have been told that I haven't needed to get any notification from HO to aply for extension.

Is there anyone who has applied for the extension w/ or w/o an approval letter?

Any comments are appreciated.
