Tier 2 visa - eligable sources of income

Post by UNka » Mon Feb 12, 2018 12:17 pm

Hello dear ALL

I was made redundant about six month ago, haven't received the curtailment letter yet, therefore I am still looking for a job in the UK.

I know that I cannot be employed unless it is my new visa sponsor. But what about other options of working and being paid i.e.
- can I work as a contractor through my Limited company which I own but I am not employed as a Director?
- can I work remotely and paid into my UK bank account? or non-UK?

Any other options?

Thank you for your attention to my question.

Have a good day,

UNka

It is not permitted.

- can I work remotely and paid into my UK bank account? or non-UK? Probably not. You cannot be self employed.

Any other options?
Find a sponsor or find another visa you qualify for (tier 1 entrepreneur/Tier 4 etc) or leave the UK.

You cannot contract in any case. Another issue is you have to be a director of the company, no agent will award a contract otherwise, the tax trail has to be legally clear.
