HSMP Dependant Maintenance Fund

Post by ammu28 » Sun Mar 23, 2008 12:07 pm

Dear all,

Could anyone clarify my doubts. I was going through the forum and came to know that you need to provide the maintenance funds

1 . 800£ for main applicant.
2. i. 533£ if the applicant has been in uk for 12 or more months.
ii. 1600£ if applicant is applying from outiside UK.

My questions are
  • a. Do we need to show for last 3 months that the amount exists in bank?

    b. Is there any problem if I show balance in only one account ?
I got a link which talks about this.

Please answer gurus.

this is the answer from Victoria:

The have also clarified the funds needed. Clarification is a good thing, but funds needed for someone coming on their own will be:

£400 start up costs plus £800 per months subsistance, available for at least 3 months at the time of application = £2800

Plus more for dependents - £534 per month for the first dependent, £267 per month for each following dependent.

(this is different for those switching in country from another category)

Dear Antouk

I believe all you need is minimum £800 which equals to approx. INR 66000 in your account over last 3 months.....the balance should not go less than this amount......But from your post it seems we need £800 * 3 months + £400 = £2800.....IS this the actual requirement??.....I am planning to apply for Tiee 1 from India in May.....Pls help....

As you are in Chennai, I would be more happy if you could reach me on 09884833342 and help me for the same...
