Information about SAR

Post by doodle » Tue Feb 20, 2018 7:42 pm

Hi all,

Applied on: 17-Aug-2017
Visa Expired: 22-Aug-2017
Bio Metric: 25-Aug-2017

Since 25-Aug-2017, I haven't received any letter or correspondence from UKVI not even a complex letter. Its been six months now, I am thinking to go for SAR to know the status of my application. In requirements of SAR, UKVI asked for verified ( verification by any OISC Level 1 Solicitor) copy of Passport.
I asked the solicitor for verification but he want to see the original passport.

Can I send the documents without the verification? As I don't have any option.

You can try, but it, probably, will be refused and the fee, probably, won't be returned. 6 months is not a guaranteed period of making a decision on application. It can be longer depending on application complexity and how busy your caseworker is. Try here https://www.gov.uk/government/news/want ... mmigration

Hi,

They can accept driving license.Do you have your driving license? I sent my certified copy of driving license for SAR.UKVI follows initial process if applicant can get outcome in service standard or not.If your application has not been passed in that initial screening then they will take long time.

I applied in July and got sar report in Feb.They haven't touch my file till 08/01/2017 as per report.SAR will take 40days.

Thanks,

My SAR took 6 months (the 40 day service goal is a joke)

and they missed info I asked for and had to send more later

suggest you ask for the computerised version to make sure it is much faster

If you need your case details then you need to ask for normal SAR.Fast track for only limited information. They are very pathetic with timeline.I applied on 15/12/17 and got in second week of Feb 18.I emailed them 5 times in one month that's why I got it early. They haven't deducted payment yet. That's kind of service and process they following.

thanks,
