Absence from UK ILR and Naturalization

Post by markotsg » Mon Mar 31, 2008 6:31 pm

Hello I am curently on 2+3 HSMP visa 5 years ILR +1 Naturalisation
Could you please advise how many days can you be away from UK not to effect ILR AND citizenship?

I am seeing 180 days for ILR
450 DAYS for Naturalisation would this be right?

According to http://www.workpermit.com/uk/naturalisation.htm#s1

450 days in 6 years , and the no more then 90 days in the 12 months of the 6th year, that makes it 450-90 360 days for ILR?

Please help I am confused :(

Does this apply only to main appliacnt or to depednets as well?

There are two different standards. One for ILR via work permit and one for Naturlisation.
If you were a spouse, you could get away with more absences for ILR versus work permit but should you go to citizenship, well then they reign in the absences.
